Color is BLACK and I wanted dark brown. It’s not even a combo color as stated. Could kind of work if the root growth was minimal. But I found it irritated my scalp. I applied it just in the part area and I was careful not to get it on my scalp because of its black color. As it began to irritate my scalp I tried to carefully scratch. BIG MISTAKE. The color transferred to my fingertips and underneath my fingernails. Had to scrub nails to get it off. The only good thing was the applicator. I love Goldwell products but not this. And this product has a strong scent that I don't care for, whereas the mousse was odorless. I used this above product on my hair, and the more I used it, the more the color returned to a beautiful color and texture. I was able to grow the damaged hair out and gradually return to my normal color. Now, 20+ years later, I am dealing with too much gray.
