Surface Science

The Surface mission is to incorporate sustainably harvested ingredients and certified organic botanicals in all Surface products for salons and their guests to thrive upon. Three of the primary active ingredients found in most of the Surface products include :

Babassu Moisture

Known as the "Tree of Life", Babassu Oil is pressed from the seeds of the Babassu Palm Tree. Considered a superior emollient, Organic Babassu Oil is deep penetrating and gently moisturizes either dry or oily hair and skin without the weight or leaving an oily sheen.

Amaranth Protein

Amaranth offers nine essential amino acids that prevent hair from becoming dry and dull as one ages. Surface sources gluten-free Amaranth vegan protein from organic farms in Peru. The National Academy of Sciences called Amaranth one of the best sources of protein available.

Natural Sugar

Natural Sugars and cornstarch provide strong, flexible hold and anti-frizz with no petroleum, plastic or PVP/VA. Allowing nature to help you find your inner artist and make styling simple. Plus the Color Vita-Complex is infused into all Surface products!

The Color Vita-Complex combines Ceramide 3 and Vitamins A, C, E antioxidants to lock your color into and onto the hair by playing the essential role of eliminating free radicals following color services. Preventing the oxidation (breakdown) of the color molecule. What ingredients does Surface not use? Featuring Certified Organic Botanicals - all products are vegan, gluten-free, paraben free, and sulfate free.
