The OPI Chrome Effects are highly reflective chrome nail powders designed to transform gel polish into softly glazed or full-metallic looks. Each easy-to-apply powder creates a smooth, mirror-like finish that changes depending on the gel polish shade underneath. Layer the powder over a neutral shade for a subtle glazed effect, or pair it with a deeper shade for a bold metallic finish. OPI Chrome Effects work best with GELement at-home gel polish or OPI GelColor.

Before you begin, shake all bottles well to mix the pigments and formulas.

Prep: Trim and shape nails, push back cuticles, lightly buff, then cleanse with 91% or 99% isopropyl alcohol.
Base: Apply a thin coat of GELement Base Coat to four fingers, then cure for 60 seconds. Repeat on thumb.
Color: Apply one thin coat of GELement color to four fingers, then cure for 60 seconds. Repeat on thumb. Repeat this step for a second coat of color.
Top: Apply a thin coat of GELement No-Wipe Top Coat to four fingers, then soft cure for 30 seconds to achieve optimal chrome adhesion. Repeat on thumb.
Chrome: Lightly dip the applicator into the glazing powder, then rub it over the nail in circular motions.
Refine: Lightly buff the free edge with a fine-grit file, then dust off the excess powder.
Seal: Apply a final layer of No-Wipe Top Coat to four fingers, then cure for 60 seconds. Repeat on thumb.
Finish: Cleanse with 91% or 99% isopropyl alcohol, wash hands, and apply Glow Up Nail & Cuticle Oil.
